Reknit Revolution film

Reknitting is highly tactile: a conversation between maker and material. This film, created in collaboration with filmmaker Jonathan Hamilton for the Units of Possibility exhibition, captures the process of creating three samples from the Reknit Spectrum: cardiganise, stitch-hack and replace cuff.

Jonathan Hamilton is a specialist in experiential film making, with particular interest in conveying the look and touch of materials on screen. His research is focused on fragile archives and museums as well as collaborating with crafts people and designers. He is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University and was a finalist in the Lumen Digital Art Prize, with his film Never Quiet Never Still touring internationally.
