Reknit Revolution is a project by designer, maker and researcher Amy Twigger Holroyd, which encourages you to use your knitting skills to rework the knitwear in your wardrobe.
Why? Because handmade or mass-produced, chunky or fine: every stitch is a unit of possibility, ripe for reconfiguration.
Intrigued? Start by taking a look at the reknit spectrum, which shows a comprehensive range of treatments that could be used to repair holes or stains, resolve issues of fit, or restyle tired designs. Each one is highly flexible in terms of scale, aesthetic and finish.
Want to get stuck straight in? Go to the instructions section to access detailed guidance for six of the reknit treatments: swiss darn, stitch hack, replace cuff, alter section, reknit and cardiganise.
